About Kinetic Data

Kinetic Data, Inc. developed the Kinetic Platform, which provides the frameworks and components to create purpose-built workflow automation applications.

What we do: At Kinetic, we create "Built for Mission" applications that are focused on the combination of human and technology-centric workflows. Our platform and backend services help teams and organizations run more efficiently, focusing resources where they are most needed.

For external audiences: Kinetic Data helps government agencies modernize processes, deliver faster responses, and support the required change for 21st-century leadership.

Who we serve: Kinetic Data was built for large, complex, distributed organizations.

Our current focus: Delivering secure workflow solutions for the public sector, with a focus on Federal Government agencies, and specifically outbound targeting Department of Defense opportunities (Army, Navy, Air Force). We do this through a combination of direct sales, referrals, and our partner channel relationships.

We also continue to serve and grow our existing customer base, which includes Federal agencies, state and local school districts, and private sector organizations.

Market

We see a $30B+ market opportunity in the collaboration space and the growth of “open source collaboration” accelerating vs. proprietary solutions. Open source has already commoditized operating systems, databases, tooling, and virtualization infrastructure. We see the entry of open source into the application layer driving fast adoption of a new generation of open source and open core solutions, inherently more flexible, trustworthy, and economical than past models.

Products and business model

The Kinetic Platform is offered on both a SaaS or locally-installed basis to meet the needs of different market segments. The software is sold under a commercial license using a "consumption" based pricing model, meaning that we charge our customers based on the volume of workflows initiated on the platform. We believe this better aligns the interests of our customers and Kinetic Data more fairly than the more traditional named-user license model used by most of the industry.
