How to update the handbook

"Update the Handbook" is a term we regularly use at Kinetic Data, but it's not always obvious exactly what to update or how.

In a literal sense, updating this handbook requires first logging into GitBook. Once you have your Kinetic Data account, navigate to GitBook and click the Sign In button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Use your Google login, and you will be routed to the Kinetic Data GitBook homepage. Select the Kinetic Data Handbook option on the left side of the screen, and you can browse the handbook as an editor. As an editor, you can select the Merge button in the upper right-hand corner. Make sure to name your change at the top of the screen and then proceed to whichever section you'd like to update and make the desired changes. Once complete, select the dropdown arrow beside the Merge button and change to Submit for review, and then submit your changes.
