Agile: A project management methodology emphasizing flexibility, iterative development, and continuous improvement.
Asset: An item or resource valuable to the project or customer.
Billable: Refers to work that can be invoiced to a customer.
Billing Milestone: A specific point in a project's timeline when billing is triggered, and an invoice can be sent to the customer.
Budget: A financial plan that outlines a project's resources, costs, and expenses. It can be T&M or Fixed-Bid.
Cadence: The rhythm or frequency at which tasks or activities are performed.
Customer: The person, group, or organization for whom a project is being carried out.
Constraints: Factors or limitations that restrict a project's scope, schedule, or resources.
Deliverable: A tangible or intangible product, service, or result produced by a project and delivered to the customer or stakeholder.
Delivery: The process of carrying out a project and delivering the desired outcome or result.
Design: Creating a plan or blueprint for a project, product, or system. Applies to both UX/UI and platform design.
Executive Stakeholders: These are decision-makers or influencers on the customer side who have approval power.
Fixed-Bid: A project pricing model in which a fixed price is agreed upon between the customer and vendor to deliver a specific product or service.
Gantt Chart: a horizontal bar chart used to visualize project schedules and task dependencies
Groom: The process of refining and preparing the work tasks in a project.
Hypercare: A period of intense support and monitoring that occurs immediately after a project goes live.
Implementation: Installing, configuring, and testing a software solution in a live environment.
Net New Sales: Refers to revenue generated from new customers or customers.
Organic Sales: Refers to revenue generated from existing customers or customers.
Phase: A distinct stage or period in a project's lifecycle.
Project: A temporary endeavor to produce a unique set of features and functionality.
Project Lifecycle: The stages or phases a project progresses through from initiation to closure.
Project Milestone: A specific point in a project's timeline representing a significant achievement or progress toward the project's goals.
Resource: A person that is required to carry out a project.
Retainer: A payment model in which a customer pays a set fee for access to their services for a specific period of time.
Risk: A potential threat or obstacle that could impact the success of a project.
Scope: The boundaries or parameters that define a project's goals, deliverables, and requirements.
SDLC: Software Development Life Cycle
Stakeholder: A person or group with a vested interest or role in a project and its outcome.
Status: The current state or progress of a project or task.
Support: The ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and assistance provided to a customer or customer after completing a project.
Task: A specific action or activity that is required to be completed as part of a project.
Time-and-Materials (T&M): A project pricing model in which the customer pays for the actual time and materials used by the vendor to complete the project.
Waterfall: A project management methodology that emphasizes a linear, sequential approach to project execution.
