To guide the Execution Phase, the Delivery Team creates various project assets and deliverables during Planning. The developed assets and deliverables created serve as a clear roadmap for the team and help ensure everyone is working towards the same goals. Some of the essential project assets and deliverables during this phase include:
Software Requirements Specification (SRS) document: The SRS document defines the functional and non-functional requirements of the project. This document is the primary source of truth for how the system is expected to work.
Sitemap and Wireframes: The sitemap and wireframes outline the structure of the pages for development. Well-defined user experience assets help logically organize pages and provide an overview of anticipated page content. To create a quick and easy document, a drag-and-drop tool such as can be helpful. Additionally, the Delivery Team can share the deliverable with the customer and project team for collaboration and approval.
Customer Journey Map: The journey map represents a customer's steps and experiences when interacting with our products or services. By outlining these touchpoints, the map helps identify areas for improvement and ensures a seamless customer experience. The Delivery Team can also share the document with the customer and project team for collaboration and approval.
Workflow and Data Diagrams: Workflows outline the steps in completing a particular task or process, and Diagrams help to visualize the systemβs data with a visual representation.
Data Maps and Models: Data maps outline the data used in the system and how it will be stored and accessed.
Test Plans: Test plans outline the system's testing strategy. They clearly explain how the system will be tested and what metrics will be used to determine its success.
Obtaining approval on the project plan and designs is a critical step before moving on to the execution phase. This process involves presenting the SRS document and corresponding assets and deliverables to the main customer decision-maker for approval. Approval templates are available in the Client > Project Management folder to help facilitate this process.
