Job Summary:
At Kinetic Data, we specialize in enhancing business operations through our advanced software solutions. As an Infrastructure Support Engineer within our Client Services Team, your primary role will be to assist customers with installing and upgrading our proprietary platform within their ecosystem, which can include their own Kubernetes environments or via our packaged Kubernetes deployment. This role is crucial in optimizing the performance of our platform to meet specific client needs. You will work closely with our technical project manager, platform operations team, and delivery organization to deliver outstanding service and improve client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your expertise in managing containerized applications and database technologies like Cassandra and Postgres will be invaluable in advancing client deployments. This position is designed for professionals eager to directly impact customer success by deploying cutting-edge software solutions helping clients maximize their technology investments. Duties/Responsibilities:
Collaborate with customers to understand their capabilities and organizational offerings related to infrastructure deployments.
Collaborate with the Platform Operations team to clarify installation and upgrade requirements.
Provide hands-on support for installing and upgrading our platform in client-managed cloud and on-prem environments.
Test and verify our platform's stability, performance, and compatibility across diverse deployment environments.
Assist customers with configuring and managing necessary servers and databases to optimize platform operation.
Support both customer-led and on-premise installations, ensuring successful integration.
Perform additional related duties as needed.
Key Competencies:
Real-world experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
Experience with various Linux distributions (Ubuntu, REHL, etc.)
Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues efficiently.
Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients and team members.
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support, ensuring client satisfaction.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to identify security concerns and develop action plans to mitigate risks.
Flexibility to handle various tasks and adapt to changing priorities and environments.
Qualifications:
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical requirements.
Experience and certifications with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Experience with Kubernetes and Linux-based system administration.
Strong understanding of networking concepts.
Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and ElasticSearch.
Understanding of Certificates and Certificate management and familiarity with OpenSSL and keystores are preferred.
Strong understanding of Identity management with exposure to SSO configurations and specifications.
Skilled in Google Suite, project management software, and development tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Education and Experience:
3-4+ years of experience building and maintaining Kubernetes implementations.
Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience.
